Hide & Seek Leathers Co.

Project Overview

As part of a rebranding initiative, I developed a comprehensive visual identity for Hide & Seek Leather Co., a premium leather goods brand known for their handcrafted, bespoke products. The goal was to create a modern, timeless identity that reflected their artisanal craftsmanship while resonating with an upscale, discerning clientele.

Design Process

The process began with deep research into the brand’s ethos, target audience, and competitors. I worked closely with the team to understand their vision and values, focusing on the balance between luxury and authenticity. From this, I created mood boards and visual inspiration to explore different design directions.

Logo Design

I crafted a minimalist, yet bold logo that communicated both sophistication and durability. The logo combines classic typography with subtle references to leather craftsmanship, using a custom serif font paired with a clean, sharp wordmark. The logo’s versatility was key, ensuring it could be applied across digital, print, and product materials without losing its integrity.

Color Palette & Typography

The color palette draws inspiration from rich, earthy tones, evoking the natural hues of leather while conveying a sense of luxury. I opted for warm, neutral tones like deep browns, charcoal, and gold accents. The typography was chosen to complement the elegant yet rugged aesthetic, with a modern serif font for headings and a clean sans-serif for body text, maintaining readability and sophistication.

Brand Collateral & Applications

The branding was applied to various touchpoints, including business cards, packaging, and the website. I ensured consistency across all materials by using the same typography, color palette, and logo applications. Packaging design, particularly, focused on minimalism, allowing the products themselves to be the focal point, while still conveying premium quality through material choices and printing techniques.

Strategy & outcome

The overall strategy was to create a brand identity that communicates trust, luxury, and craftsmanship. I carefully considered the customer journey and how the visual identity would play a role in their interaction with the brand. The end result was a cohesive brand experience across all customer touchpoints, elevating the perceived value of Hide & Seek Leather Co. and creating a memorable, authentic brand image that resonates with both long-time fans and new customers.
